Tackling a Land Clearing Project with FAE and Quick Attach

As a land clearing contractor, I've had my fair share of challenging projects. But with the right equipment and attachments, even the toughest jobs can be conquered. Today, I want to explore a mock project and talk about how FAE and Quick Attach can help us complete the job. For our mock project, let’s clear a wooded area to prep it for becoming a food plot.

Underbrush Clearing with FAE UML/SSL Mulcher

We will start by clearing the underbrush with a skid steer equipped with a FAE UML/SSL mulcher. This attachment is a beast, capable of cutting through even the densest vegetation with ease. We were able to clear a significant portion of the land in just a few hours, leaving behind a smooth and even surface, clearing the way for us to proceed.

Tree Removal and Log Handling with Excavator and Quick Attach Rock Haul

Once we had cleared the underbrush, we would move on to removing the undesired trees. We’ll use an excavator to pull the trees out, while a skid steer equipped with a Quick Attach Rock Haul attachment will help us grab the logs and move them to a designated area for burning. The Rock Haul attachment will prove to be a valuable asset, allowing us to efficiently move the logs and keep the worksite organized.

Stump Grinding with Quick Attach Stump Away

After the trees were removed, we will want to turn our attention to grinding the stumps. We’ll use a Quick Attach Stump Away attachment to grind the stumps into mulch. This attachment makes quick work of even the largest stumps, and its compact design allows it to be maneuvered into tight spaces.

Finishing Touches with FAE SSL Tiller

Finally, we want to put the finishing touches on the property. The FAE SSL tiller attachment on a PTO tractor will get us there. This attachment allowed us to till the soil to a depth of 12 inches, loosening and aerating the soil to prepare it for new growth. The SSL tiller attachment is great at preparing the land for its next purpose

Conclusion

Using a combination of FAE and Quick Attach attachments, we would be able to complete the land clearing project efficiently and effectively. The FAE UML/SSL mulcher and SSL tiller attachments are instrumental in clearing the underbrush and preparing the soil, while the Quick Attach Rock Haul and Stump Away attachments helped us remove the undesired trees and grind the stumps.
